Another year of racing has come along and now on the wane. The Augusta Triumph/Ducati Racing Team had taken on a new look. James Brown is our master technician, while Giovanni Rojas has taken over as our rider. It hasn't taken very long for everyone to slip into their new roles most likely because we've all been together before. As you can see below, Jimmy was our rider last year and Giovanni rode for us when we first entered the racing arena. If you have a minute, check out our racing history for his accomplishments on a bike that wasn't designed for racing, the old TT 600. Giovanni is getting more comfortable with the 675, but he's told us that its a lot different from the bikes he's been riding. Of course, by now, Giovanni has proven his expertise and mastered the 675. As we approach the end of this season he is leading in points for WERA North Florida in Heavyweight Twins Superbike Expert and Heavyweight Twins Superstock Expert. He is also the points leader in WERA Southeast in Heavyweight Twins Superbike Expert and Heavyweight Twins Superstock Expert. Although we did not compete in most of Mid-Central, Giovanni is within a good ride of first place there as well. How Gio managed to lose weight and get back in fighting trim with the cooking of Cory Ellis, our newest team member, I'll never know. Cory's been quite a good chef with our Bubba Burgers and Johnsonville Brats.

Augusta Triumph/Ducati's RAT Chapter Meetings, riding, and a little racing have been keeping RAT members busy and enjoying their bikes. We have a congenial group that is open to new members, new ideas, suggestions, and participation.
